Backyard Oasis

We decided to build a deck in our backyard. I'm glad we did (or that Jason did) because we had an ugly backyard. Little by little it is becoming pretty.

A palm tree so we can sit by it and pretend we are on a tropical vacation. Of course it only comes up to my waist.

While we were at the Home Improvement store checking out with our goodies, the cashier looked at Eli and said,
"Awwww, your first?"
"Yes."
"You should make another one."

I am thinking about adding to my household. It gets lonely. Meet Scout:

Meet Lady: http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h304/flutterbye920/Lady1.jpg

Meet Zac and Rusty: http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h304/flutterbye920/ZacandRusty.jpg

Who should I welcome into my humble apartment? Decisions, decisions, decisions...
What do you think?

Jason, your deck looks very good. Is that a sand cushion below the lumber or did you just remove the grass ? I t looks like treated lumber. Are you completed or still some to do? Excellent work my son---Love Dad

Couldn't find Zac and Rusty, but Scout and Lady look nice. Low maintenance coat is a good thing, but shedding is bad.
