Today was the sonogram! We were a little afraid there would be a lot of restrictions about what we could see and how much Jason could be a part of. There was no need to worry, everything went great. The woman who performed the sonogram actually had a student shadowing her, so we got a lot of talking and explanation.
She said that if she knew right off that Jason was a med student, he would have been there for all of it, but he missed her measureing the skull and the fluid....not really that exciting, and he got to be there for the full body part check, so no worries! He and I could see everything (although I have a small crick in my neck) and once I saw our son moving around with a beating heart and all his bones, it really became real that I am having a baby and going to be a mommy.
She sent us home with four pictures: picture proof that it is a boy, his arm, his foot, and a body profile. As soon as I can access a scanner, I'll try and get them up for you.
The name game is now beginning in full earnest! If you have any ideas for our son, please leave a comment!
Talk to you soon!
